I used to think that the answer to our fuel problem was opening up ANWR for drilling, and building more nuclear power plants. With the price of gasoline soaring to nearly four dollars a gallon, I have begun to realize that even if that were to happen, it would take years to realize the benefits, and by that time, our economy would be sunk. People have told me that the oil companies have been keeping information about alternative fuels from us, because they were greedy. At first I didn’t want to hear it, but after learning that Rush refuses to listen to arguments that don’t agree with his premise, as was the case with his argument against Mike Huckabee, I began to question some of his other long held beliefs. I began to research alternative fuels. What I found was quite a surprise. I have known about hydrogen fuel cells for years. The question in my mind has always been how are we going to get the hydorgen in our cars. I thought it would take a decade to build the infrastructure to deliver it. Someone alerted me to a process called electorosys, which uses electricity to extract the gas from water? Could it be possible? I did a Yahoo search, because I hate google. I came across a news video showing a working fuel cell powered only by water. I did more research, and came across Run Your Car On Water . This site details how you can increase your fuel effiency by almost 50%. Imagine getting 60 mpg! You would save over 100 dollars a month. It costs less than 200 dollars to do the modification. Everyone should know about this new technology. Tell everyone you know. This could be the answer to our energy crisis.

As I have been telling everyone that will listen about my ferverent support for Mike Huckabee as our next President, I constantly hear people say that they like Huckabee, but they can’t support him because he can’t win against Hillary or any other Democrat. Of course I have heard the same thing about the other (R) candidates as well. The conventional wisdom goes that a Democrat will win next year, but I strongly believe that if we put put up a candidate that will rally the base, that we can overcome the conventional wisdom. Mike Huckabee is that man. Mitt Flip-Flop Romney will not do it. The liberal Rudy will surely not do it. Fred Thompson could do it if he had some drive and passion. I agree with Fred on many issues, but he does not articulate his ideas well. He would be terrible at pushing good public policy through congress. I could see democrats running over him, just like they do Bush. Can you say lame duck from the start. But I will hold my nose and vote for him if he wins the nomination That is not the case for Rudy. On the other hand, Mike Huckabee is better at articulating the conservative message than anyone I have observed in the political arena. The only thing holding him back is name recognition and money. That is quickly changing. Some recent polls have him doing very well both in Iowa , Febuary 5th states , and even nationally. A just released Zogby poll has him beating Hillary Clinton in a matchup by 5%! Not even Rudy can claim that. I think it is because of crossover apeal. Now some right wing republicans are not going to like that. But we need a president who will unite the country, not divide it. I feel so strongly about this issue that I have donated over $2000 dollars to the Huckabee Campaign. It looks like my hard earned money is paying off. If you care about the country, I ask you to please donate to the Huckabee campaign . If you can afford 10 or 20 dollars, that is fine. Every little bit helps. Help Mike reach his goal of 1.25 million raised online in the month of November. He does not have the war chest of Rudy or Mitt, but with a little well spent money, he can beat back the attacks that will surely come, so that he can become our next President.

I had a great time at the Washington Breifing. I got to pesronally meet a lot of really great people and candidates. Among them, Mike Huckabee, Newt Gingrich, Duncan Hunter, Ben Stein, and even Ron Paul. I also heard many many great speeches, but far and away, Mike Huckabee and Newt Gingrich’s were the best. Here are the results of the straw Poll.

Mike Huckabee 488 51.26%
Mitt Romney 99 10.40%
Fred Thompson 77 8.09%
Tom Tancredo 65 6.83%%

It’s funny that Ron Paul came in 9th place with 25 votes!

Now, some media sources are saying that Romney won the straw poll. Well, that is a seperate online poll that anyone who donated a dollar could vote in. The real poll is the one of the people who were at the event, and watched the speeches voted in.

I encourage you to go to the Washington Breifing web site and watch all the speeches. Especially Mike Huckabee!

Conventional wisdom says that only the top-tier candidates have a chance at winning the Republican nomination for President. I have to object to that claim. Just who does the media think they are, that they get to decide who the top-tier candidates are? The reason the “so-called” second-tier candidates are second-tier is the media. The name of the game, right now, is name recognition. The media covers some candidates more than other candidates. Then they go out and conduct polls. Logically, those candidates who are better known will get more support in those polls. It’s a catch-22. A candidate will have a hard time gaining support in polls if they do not get as much media coverage. And they won’t get more media coverage if they don’t make gains in the polls. These second-tier candidates have to really excel at every appearance they make to even make a blip on the national radar screen. Mike Huckabee is doing just that. He is the candidate that is really excelling at every oppurtunity. And I think this will translate to higher poll numbers, and even more media coverage in the coming weeks and months. Here’s why.

At every debate thus far, the “so-called” second-tier candidates are given much less time to speak than the “top-tier” candidates. Frank Luntz, a communications expert who has analyzed every debate thus far, reports that Mike Huckabee has wowed his republican panel with his speaking ability, and his ability to connect with voters on a personal level. The enthusiasm level when Mike speaks at the debates has been much higher than the other candidates. Mike is able to articulate what I think many republicans have been thinking for a long time. It is something that we conservatives have been wanting to hear from Washington for a long time. Something that is rarely heard.

Huckabee came in second in the Iowa Straw Poll, even after being outspent by his oponents by more than 10 to 1. After his stunning victory, his campaign contributions came pouring in. So did the interest in his campaign. People who were on the fence decided that Mike was now a viable candidate. I think some of the nay-sayers are going to be very surprised with the next FEC report. I predict Mike will have raised several million by the time the report is made. When that report is made, even more people who are on the fence will support Mike, because they will want to be part of a winning team.

Now lets analyze some recent polls.

If you take a look at some of the real clear politics poll averages, Fred polls in the lower 20’s, while Rudy comes in second with about 17%. Romney takes about 13%, and McCain pulls in 9%. Newt, who has not even announced that he is a candidate pulls in up to 11% in some polls. Huckabee polls anywhere from 7 to 9% The other candidates take about 3% leaving about 10% for undecideds.

With those numbers in mind, think about this scenario. Newt Gingrich has said several times that he likes Mike. He has also said that there is a very good chance that he won’t run. After Solutions Day, it is possible that Newt will endorse Huckabee. If even half of Newt’s supporters, plus half the undecideds were to switch to Huckabee’s camp, he would be polling ahead of Romney. As more people see that Huckabee is a viable alternative, people from other camps will also switch. A lot of people are endorsing Fred Thompson because they think he is the only conservative that can win. I do not think he can win. He has absolutely no charisma, as evidenced by his recent speech at the recent Michigan Mackinac Convention. He also has some issues with social conservatives. Mike is the real deal.

Huckabee won the recent values Voter debate. He started off with 35% of the vote before the debate, and jumped to 63% after the debate, and was one of only 2 candidates to gain votes post debate. This means that when Mike is well known to a particular audience, he places higher in the polls. The Evidence are the debates, and the Iowa straw poll. Once he gets his message out to those undecideds, his number of supporters will only increase.

Mike Huckabee has won the the all important Values Voter Straw Poll. This is a phenomenal achievement. Mike came in with 63% of the vote! In the last election, the values voter represented 38 percent of the electorate, by far the largest single voting block. This should be a big bump for the Huckabee campaign. I am making another $100 dollar contribution to the campaign, bringing my total to $500 for the quarter. Ron Paul placed a distant second, with 13% of the vote. Alan Keys, who just entered the race on Saturday, pulled 7% of the vote. Brownback and Tancredo, each recieving less than 5%, should drop out of the race.

I just read this post about Ron Paul on a Huckabee blog, and had to share the mindset of the Ron Paul people. It is hillarious.

Why are you wasting your time with this loser? RON PAUL is the only conservative choice for 2008. You might not knowit from watching FAUX NEWS and the MAIN STREAM MEDIA (MSM) but Ron Paul is ahead of every national pole. He is even ahead of Mike Huckabee’s barber pole. I have it on the strictest confidence from my mother-in-law’s step-sister’s best friend’s babysitter’s dog’s hairdresser’s boyfriend that RON PAUL is polling at 56% in Iowa, 79% in South Carolina, 97% in New Hampshire, and 102% in Florida (counting the people that GEORGE BUSH STOLE). It is people like you who have BETRAYED conservatism and gotten us into an IMPERIALISTIC war. RON PAUL is : Fiscal conservative, cuts taxes and wants to ablosih the IRS. I know Mike Huckabee said he wanted to do that too but you can never trust these cheaters who only pretend to be conservatives. RON PAUL will reduce the size of government and move the United States Capital into his house’s THREE CAR GARAGE with all three cars in it. Any government employees who can’t fit in there will be FIRED. RON PAUL will get us out of the UNWINNABLE war in Iraq and Afghanistan which George Bush only got into because his daddy who bought the presidency for him hated Muslims. If we just go over there and shake the terrorist’s hands and give them flowers they will shurely never hate us at all! RON PAUL knows this because RON PAUL is the only intelligent candidate in the race. RON PAUL is older than John McCain and thus has been on earth longer! It is a SCIENTIFIC FACT. Go look it up if you don’t believe me! People who have lived longer than other people have been on the earth longer! It is people like MIKE HUCKABEE who want to deny rational science and want you to not believe things like these! RON PAUL knows what is best for AMERICA. He is the only true PATRIOT IN AMERICA. As a good patriot you and I have no other choice than to VOTE FOR RON PAUL IN 2008. The MSM is conspring to Keep RON PAUL off of the national stage but you can’t stop him. He has already raised $489 million in the second quarter. We will win in all the Caucuses and primiries and then you all will be SORRY that you didn’t support RON PAUL when it was still possible to get cushy government job appointments! ANd onece we do that we will win the national election and make what is called UTOPIA IN AMERICA. Even if everybody else CHEATS and takes RON PAUL off the ballot, I will still vote for him! I will write him in for president and I know thousanads more people who will do that too! In fact, I am going to vote for RON PAUL in every election I vote in for the rest of my life. I will write in RON PAUL for President, Vice President, Senator, Governor, Mayor, Dog-Catcher, Grand Poobah, Chancellor of the Exchequer, Stadtholder, Dear Leader, King of the Mountain, Chairman of the Board, World Hero Club, and Minister for Measles! RON PAUL REVOLUTION 2008!!!!!!!! GO RON PAUL!!!!!!!!
